Community Midwives

The community midwives will share your antenatal care with your GP.  They will help care for you during your pregnancy and for the week after baby is born.  They can also arrange parenthood classes for you which are highly recommended before becoming a parent.

Community Nurses work with your doctor in providing home care as required.

Health Visitors

Our health visitors and staff nurse Fiona McConnell attend all age groups in the community and in particular they run child health and immunisation clinics.

They are also available to discuss individual problems and are willing to help with behavioural problems, hearing tests and developmental assessment.
